MRT sign a three year rental agreement to supply the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Offshore Construction team

Marine Rescue Technologies Ltd (MRT) are proud to announce we have signed a three year rental agreement to supply the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) Offshore Construction team.

The agreement will see MRT’s market leading sMRT Wind Lifejacket and integrated Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) supplied to the teams 120+ technicians currently working on the Hohe See and Hornsea offshore wind farm projects in Germany and UK and the Formosa project in Taiwan.

Neil Rowley, Construction Operations Manager for SGRE said “SGRE Offshore (UK) are pleased with the recent partnership with MRT to supply us with a reliable, efficient and cost effective solution package in respect of our Lifejackets and PLBs.’

The sMRT Wind 275N SOLAS approved life jacket with integrated sMRT AU10 Personal Locator Beacon offers wearers maximum protection in a man overboard situation. The sMRT AU10 automatically activates on immersion in water and alerts on the 121.5MHz international Search and Rescue frequency, while simultaneously transmitting its GPS coordinates via AIS.

‘MRT have been a pleasure to deal with, assisting with the distribution process of exchanging the 130+ life jackets to our Technicians across the country.  In a short space of time, all deliveries have successfully been made with constant admin support and delivery confirmation.  MRT also have a simplified process in place for the recertification which will save hugely on my administration time’. - Lynsey Blanchard, SGRE Offshore BA and Technician Support.

MRT’s CEO, Ryan Pettit, said about the agreement: “We have worked with various SGRE divisions for a number of years now and it’s great to see that the Offshore Construction team has decided to get on board. The sMRT Wind rental model gives SGRE a hassle free man overboard safety solution with advanced annual replacements to ensure zero service downtime for their workforce. Over the last two years we have seen a big switch from outright purchase to rental as customers strive for maximum productivity and cost effective solutions.”
