Further COVID-19 Update

Recognising the speed at which information is coming from government, MRT remains dynamic in its approach to aligning with all guidance.

As of yesterday, Tuesday 24th March 2020, MRT has shut down production and is operating on a skeleton staff basis. Only urgent and essential supply and servicing work is being carried out.

It was a tough decision to temporarily shut down production but the health and safety of all MRT employees is of paramount importance.

At the same time, Key sectors in the UK are being urged to maintain essential activities required to keep the nation healthy, fed and with a secure supply of energy to keep the lights and heating on.

The Government has mandated that wherever possible, these activities should be done remotely, but they have also recognised that where they cannot, they should be done in the workplace in a way that minimises the risk of transmission.

MRT is a long standing and vital equipment supplier of Life Saving equipment to the offshore Oil and Gas and Offshore Renewables sector, which as I type, is classed as a key sector in the UK.

As a result, we have taken the decision to maintain a skeleton staff in order to ensure business continuity to these crucial industries.

I want to assure the key sectors we work with that we have a large stock of all equipment and will do everything in our power to ensure your operations can continue.

Lastly, I am proud of my colleagues and how they have adapted so quickly in these incredibly difficult times. Whilst we are committed to helping our loyal customers, we will only remain open as long as we can keep you and our colleagues safe.
